What is Reiki?

Reiki is an original, natural, non-invasive, holistic method of healing, that was developed by Mikao Usui in Japan early in the 20th century. The Japanese word Reiki means ‘Universal Energy’. Eastern medicine recognises and works with this Universal Energy, that is present in all living things and is essential to well-being of people, animals and plants. Also known as ‘ki’ in Japan, ‘chi’ in China and ‘prana’ in India. Acupuncture, T’ai chi and Yoga are also based on the free-flow of this energy in a person.
